Technology is evolving in many sectors and changing them into smart space including healthcare, hospitality and so on. We are in the era where smartphones are slowing transforming into intelligent devices. Many smartphone makers are launching products with great futuristic approach to improve overall portfolio of their devices.
#SteveJobs introduced the #iPhone, the first internet-connected #smartphone that put user experience above all, After 10 years , #Apple is finally executing on the idea of a full touchscreen handset. iPhone X, The all-glass device has an edge-to-edge OLED display (Super Retina) without home button. It unlocks using facial recognition software and features wireless charging. Frame of iPhone X is stainless steel and comes in space gray and silver. And, by the way, it’s pronounced “Ten.” as leaked earlier.
Tim Cook also presented the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X in addition to the phones, Apples announced the third generation of Apple’s smartwatch is the first that works independently from the iPhone. A cellular version of the device is available form $399 and can make phone calls and browse the web. Apple also unveiled 4K version of its set-top Apple TV box as well at the event.
The iPhone X celebrates the 10th anniversary of Apple’s smartphone, featuring a radical redesign and new technology. The phone has a 5.8-inch OLED screen, which fills the entire front of the device. Apple has removed the iconic home button to make way for the display, replacing it with facial recognition software called Face ID.
Face ID works with the help of sensors on forehead of phone that contains 5 sensors including dot projector, speaker and camera. User can use FaceID to unlock the phone, authenticate Apple Pay and cutomise the new animoji (The animated Emojis). The iPhone X Super Retina display supports 2046×1125 resolution, with 458 PPI, and HDR in both Dolby Vision and HDR.
Like the other two phones, the iPhone X runs Apple’s latest processor, the A11 Bionic, along with 3 gigs of RAM. It’s been years since the iPhone wanted for processing power, but the iPhone X might need all it can get. It has to power all that screen, for one thing, but Apple also seems to have created the iPhone X as a foray deeper into both artificial intelligence and augmented reality. Both require serious horsepower.
The iPhone X houses new A11 Bionic processor: 64-bit design, six cores (HEXA-CORE), two high-performance processors that are 25 percent faster than the A10 and four high-efficiency cores (two more than the A10) that are 70 percent faster. The GPU is 30 percent faster.
iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus
Apple also announced the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, an upgrade to iPhone 7 a 4.7 inches and iPhone 7 Plus a 5.5-inch come with iOS 11 software, which will be available to download from September 19.
What is new for iPhone users
For iPhone users there are plenty of new thing to experience but those are not new for Android Users,
As far as cameras are concerned, the iPhone X is about as locked and loaded as one can get. The rear camera features a 12-megapixel sensor, with dual-lenses at f1.8 and f2.4 apertures (which is brighter than the 7 Plus telephoto). It comes with dual-image OIS quad-LED TrueTone flash.
Because of the combination of the new A11 Bionic and the enhanced camera, Apple is introducing a new Portrait Lighting, letting users select their lighting effects and you can add these lighting effects before and after the photo is taken.
Improvement on Video is noticeable, as well. Combined with that A11 processor, video can be captured at 60FPS in low-light mode, with faster frame rate support and 4K capture. Slo-mo videos shot in 1080p will have 240 FPS.
The front-facing camera offers True Depth camera system that supports FaceID. But the big news here is that Portrait mode and Portrait lighting are now available on the front-facing camera.
The TrueDepth camera analyzes over 50 different muscle movements to mirror your expressions in 12 Animoji. Both rear cameras comes with optical image stabilization and fast lenses for outstanding photos and videos even in low light.
The wide-angle and telephoto cameras on iPhone X enable optical zoom, as well as digital zoom of up to 10x for photos and 6x for videos.
Tap to wakeup turns on screen of iPhone X and there is no home button so slide up takes you to home screen.
The iPhone X, as well as the other new iPhones announced, comes with wireless charging capabilities. Wireless charging is supported by Qi, which is considered as the standard in the wireless charging industry, so you may see some 3rd party chargers as well.
Apple claims, battery life is two hours longer than the iPhone 7, with most of the improvement coming by way of software enhancements. The wireless charging on the new iPhones is coming with a new accessory called AirPower. It’s a larger mat that lets users charge their iPhones, Apple Watch and AirPods all at the same time.
