This smartphone comes with giant 5500 mAh battery that lost for around 24 hrs on moderate to heavy usage.

As most of HOMTOM devices, this also comes with HotKnot technology as well to transfer files between hot knot enabled phone.

Design:

Over all design language of this phablet looks really impressive but sharp edges around it are not comfortable in hand for long time, you must have big hand.

Fingerprint sensor at back works flawlessly but there is something wrong with the drivers which cause it to heat sometimes and it stops working till you restart the phone.

back panel of phone house speaker as well which is very loud and clear, you can enjoy videos on vibrant 5.5 inches display.

Display:

5.5″ display on HT50 is bright sharp and clear you wouldn’t feel it is HD. Some times screen does not response to the touch until you lock and unlock the phone, This bug arises sometimes, which can be fixed via OTA.

Operating System:

Operating system is based on Android 7.0 Nougat themed with black icons. Currently it is bit buggy but i haven’t faced any issue with voice calls or Wifi or data services.

HOMTOM have added some great gestures like based on fingerprint sensors to take picture or switch music or answer call.

It also offers Answer by swing gesture but this feature answers the calls when phone is in pocket, Some custom gestures are also available for user to configure.

Hardware:

HT50 comes with Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737 clocked at 1.3GHz, this processor performs really great for day to day tasks.

Game performance of this phone is average and is not suitable for graphics intense games.

3GB RAM is great for multitasking and complements processor very well, i didn’t face any issue during multi tasking or opening any app.

32GB internal memory is extendable via SD card upto 64GB.

Battery Performance:

5500mAh battery of this phone is amazing and keeps phone powered up for 2 days and moderate to heavy use.

On-Screen time of this phone is between 9-11 hours for online video playback via WIFI.

Pump Express performs really great and charges this gigantic battery in under 2 hours.

Big Battery, Fast charging, 5.5 inches display, Fingerprint is quick, Android Nougat out of the box, 13 MP selfie camera, Price

Cons:

Themed OS, Plastic body, sharp edges, HD resolution, IPS display, MicroUSB port, SDcard supported upto 64GB only

Major fixable bugs:

  1. Phone Freezes and needs to be locked and unlocked.
  2. Answer by swing answered calls while phone is in pocket
  3. Head chat of Facebook messenger doesn’t show head chat in default or other launcher
